Charlotte Flair & Liv Morgan To Star In Movie

Charlotte Flair

Whilst they’re away from in-ring action, it seems like Charlotte Flair and Liv Morgan will be busy in the film industry.

Liv Morgan was recently forced to vacate the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, which she held alongside Raquel Rodriguez, due to injury. Meanwhile, Charlotte Flair is also taking some time away from the squared circle after she lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Rhea Ripley on the first night of WrestleMania 39.

Now, it would appear both will be taking the time to appear on the big screen whilst they’re out of action, having been cast as part of a wrestling-themed movie.

A film adaptation of Jeff Leen’s book ‘The Queen of the Ring: Sex, Muscles, Diamonds, and the Making of an American Legend’ is set to be produced. The description for the book is as follows:

At only five foot two, Mildred Burke was an unlikely candidate for the ring. A waitress barely scraping by on Depression-era tips, she wanted more, and she saw her chance when she witnessed her first wrestling match. Even against all odds, she knew that she could become a female wrestler. What followed was a gritty, glittering testament to the golden age of wrestling, when beauty and brawn captivated the world.

Fightful Select is reporting that, whilst Emily Bett Rickards will play the starring role, both WWE stars have been cast as part of the production. Charlotte Flair will appear as June Byers, whilst Liv Morgan is set to portray Clara Mortensen.

There’s certainly a rich line of stars making the transition from the squared circle to Hollywood, none more than John Cena whose latest release was as part of the new Fast & Furious film.
