Charlotte Flair Tops List Of WWE And AEW Stars Receiving Most Online Abuse
A new study has revealed that Charlotte Flair faces more online hate than any other wrestler or athlete.
It has been an emotional week for 14-time WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, who wrote an emotional blog for The Players’ Tribune talking about her life on screen and off screen.
While Flair opened up by sharing a lot, she made it clear that she was writing the post not just for her fans or even her friends, but also for herself.
As a WWE superstar, Flair has been a heel for a lot of her career and has been booed because of that. Even when she was a babyface, fans didn’t get behind her. Perhaps it’s because Flair has been pushed stronger than any woman in WWE history, and fans don’t want to see her much.
In a fascinating study shared by CryptoManiaks Sports, they revealed that Flair is the most trolled athlete on social media.
Analyzing millions of social media posts using natural language and sentiment analysis tools, the study from CryptoManiaks Sports looked at more than 350 high-profile athletes across NFL, soccer, NBA, and WWE/AEW to identify which stars receive the most online abuse from fans.
The research found not only was the former women’s championthe most trolled wrestler out of the 100+ in the study, she also faced more online abuse than any other athlete in the study, inlcuding major figures such as Patrick Mahomes, LeBron James, Travis Kelce and Killian M’bappé.
Those are some big names in the sports world, yet Ric Flair’s daughter Charlotte tops them all in terms of online hate.
