Carlito Sends Special Thanks To One Star After WWE Return
Carlito had one of the most emotionally satisfying nights of his life on October 7th, 2023.
At Fastlane on Saturday, Carlito surprised many people when he was revealed to be Rey Mysterio’s mystery partner in a match against Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits.
The former US and Intercontinental Champion didn’t team with Mysterio form the beginning of the match, however, instead appearing towards the end of the contest after Mysterio and Santos Escobar had wrestled most of the match in a two-on-three situation.
However, Carlito’s last-minute appearance received a huge ovation, similar to the one he received months earlier at Backlash when he interfered in the match between Damian Priest and Bad Bunny.
It was clear that WWE’s fans hadn’t forgotten about him and are genuinely happy to see him back in the company despite being gone for over a decade.
In response, Carlito took to social media to say thanks to these fans in his own way, which also included a specific shout-out to Bad Bunny.
“13 years!!! It was a long road back. Thank you WWE Universe for making lots of noise every time I’d pop out of the shadow. Thanks to you (and a little help from Bad Bunny) I’m back! A mis Latinos y Boricuas, es mi mayor honor representarnos donde sea en el mundo que me pare!!”
What has Carlito accomplished in professional wrestling?
Carlito has won many championships in professional wrestling. In WWE, he has won both the United States and Intercontinental Championships and also had one reign as both WWE and World Tag Team Champions with Primo Colon.
He achieved much more success elsewhere, particularly in his native Puerto Rico where he won multiple singles and tag titles in the World Wrestling Council (WWC), including 17 reigns as WWC Universal Heavyweight Champion.
