Bron Breakker Kicks Off WWE Backlash With The Biggest Win Of His Career
WWE hosted its first Premium Live Event of the year since WrestleMania 42 tonight, as the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Florida, hosted Backlash 2026.
The match card featured some exciting matches, including two title defenses, which would see both the United States Championship and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the line.
While the World Title clash between Jacob Fatu and Roman Reigns is set to be the main event of the show, Reigns’ former Shield partner, Seth Rollins, kicked off the show in Tampa, Florida.
Seth Rollins faced his former protege, Bron Breakker, in the opening match of the night as he continued on the quest to put an end to the vision that he created around this time last year.

Rollins started the match with a lot of intensity as he looked to take down Breakker, but the former Intercontinental Champion took control of the fight midway through the match.
Breakker got close to the win with a Frankensteiner from the top rope, but Seth kicked out at two. Breakker then tried to Spear Rollins on the outside, but was met with a Superkick from the multiple-time World Champion.
The two men then exchanged several blows with each other, including a Buckle Bomb from Rollins, followed by a huge clothesline from Bron. Seth looked to get the advantage with his Superplex/Falcon Arrow combination, but Breakker countered the Falcon Arrow to hit it on Rollins instead.

Seth came back into the match with a Pedigree to Breakker and followed it up with the Stomp, but before he could go for the cover, Paul Heyman distracted him. He took a steel chair from under the ring and took out both Logan Paul and Austin Theory with it, before hitting Theory with a Stomp and chasing Paul away.
He ran back into the ring but was met with a Spear from Breakker, but the Visionary kicked out at two. Rollins turned another Spear attempt from Breakker into a Pedigree. He then looked for a Stomp from the middle rope, but Breakker hit him with a Spear midair before following it up with another one to pick up the biggest win of his career to date.
