Brock Lesnar’s Rumored WrestleMania 42 Match Far From Official

The Ex-WWE And WCW Star Who Nearly Choked Out Brock Lesnar

For weeks, reports about a Brock Lesnar match at WrestleMania 42 have been doing the rounds.

Lesnar last competed at the Showcase of the Immortals in 2023 at WrestleMania 39, where he defeated Omos in under five minutes.

His last appearance was during the 2026 Royal Rumble, where he entered as the #22 participant. As expected, he made a sudden impact, delivering German Suplexes to multiple superstars, including one each to Cody Rhodes, LA Knight, and Je’Von Evans.

In the ring, Brock Lesnar’s rumored WrestleMania 42 opponent had been causing chaos since the beginning, after being the first entrant.

Oba Femi has yet to be assigned to a main roster brand since relinquishing his NXT Championship at New Year’s Evil on January 6, 2026.

The Ruler eliminated a total of 5 superstars, including Bron Breakker, who was ambushed by a masked man at the beginning of the men’s Royal Rumble match.

Femi also appeared on the February 2 episode of WWE Raw, dismantling The War Raiders duo of Erik and Ivar.

Brock Lesnar Vs. Oba Femi Not Guaranteed For WrestleMania 42

During the Royal Rumble match, Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi teased the fans by staring down each other until throwing hands at each other a while later.

The fight between them was not extensive, as Lesnar first hit a German Suplex on the 27-year-old, whereas Femi retaliated with a devastating clothesline not long after before being eliminated by The Beast Incarnate.

While the interaction between the two powerhouses generated massive pop from the Riyadh audience, their bout is not guaranteed for WrestleMania 42.

Speaking on a recent Wrestling Oberserver Radio episode, Dave Meltzer claimed that their match is not “100% confirmed for WrestleMania 42.” While it is a possiblity for the future, WWE has yet to officially lock it for the April event.

That’s not 100 percent by the way…it could happen. I’m not saying it’s not happening. I’m just saying that I was told this one’s not 100 per cent, and that was the Lesnar and Oba Femi match.
