Brock Lesnar Attacked John Cena After SummerSlam

After WWE SummerSlam went off the air, Brock Lesnar took John Cena to Suplex City to put an exclamation point on his shocking return.

Lesnar sent shockwaves through the wrestling world when he finally made his return to WWE after a 17-month absence from the company, confronting Roman Reigns at SummerSlam after he successfully defended the Universal Championship in a grueling match against Cena.

Following the bout, the ‘Conquerer’s’ music hit and he made his way to the ring to the shock of both the fans and Lesnar’s former Advocate, and Reigns’ current Special Counsel, Paul Heyman. In the ring, the ‘Beast’ went face to face with the the ‘Head of the Table’, with the two exchanging words before Reigns left the ring with Heyman in tow, leaving Lesnar stalking the ring to close the ‘Biggest Party of the Summer’.

Multiple fans in attendance have posted a video of the Lesnar attack following the cameras going off. As you can see there, Cena was finally able to stumble back to his feet, only to be met with multiple suplexes and an F5 for his troubles in a scene reminiscent of the pairs’ encounter at the 2014 edition SummerSlam where Lesnar dominated Cena to become the WWE Champion.

As of this writing, WWE has not uploaded a video of Lesnar attacking Cena. It’s likely a case of WWE just wanting to have Lesnar do that for the fans in attendance.

Brock Lesnar returning wasn’t the only SummerSlam surprise, as Becky Lynch also made her own return to the squared circle. ‘The Man’ took the place of Sasha Banks, who was unable to appear at the event, in the SmackDown Women’s Championship match, claiming a stunning victory over Bianca Belair to walk out as the new champion.
