Brie On Nikki Bella’s Romance Rumors: “You Added Fuel To The Fire”
Nikki Bella and Brie Bella are back on WWE TV!
On the latest episode of RAW, The Bella Twins claimed that they would go for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
During the show, Nikki Bella took a shot at The Eagles in Philadelphia. She thought the crowd was booing her. However, what the crowd was saying was “Coooop”.
This was in reference to the Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean. He has been linked romantically with Nikki Bella.
Nikki Bella clarifies why she took the shot at Eagles
On the Nikki & Brie show, the sisters went through what happened in RAW in detail, and clarifying what exactly went down.
Nikki: This is my thing. I’ve only been on TV, before the Rumble, was three weeks. I’m in my heel run, and I love being in my heel run. As you know, we have to have a certain mindset before we go out, and I always put myself in a heel mode mindset. It’s how I work, do things, and prep. When I go out there, it make sense that I was getting booed. She laughed about what I said. I wasn’t dissing my Eagles. When you’re live, you’re just reacting to what is organically happening. What I said about the Eagles, I just assumed they knew I was a diehard Eagles fan, so they’re booing the fact that they’re not in the Super Bowl.
It was such a Total Bellas moment when you were like, ‘No, dummy.’
Brie: I did say, ‘They’re saying Coop.’ None of it was scripted.
Nikki: You just don’t know what to say in the moment. All I know, and what we’re taught at times, when you have a crowd chanting something so much, you need to acknowledge and then we move on. I don’t know if that was the best way to acknowledge the crowd.
Brie: You added fuel to the fire.
Nikki: I didn’t mean it that way. [H/t: Fightful]
