Bryan Danielson is known for his technical skills in pro wrestling and his wife Brie Garcia is revealing if he thought about transitioning to the UFC.

For the past 20 years, Bryan Danielson has been known as one of the greatest professional wrestlers alive. Danielson used his real name to establish himself in independent wrestling while also becoming one of the greatest Ring of Honor wrestlers ever.

In 2010, Danielson became Daniel Bryan in WWE. Over the next decade, he went on to become a five-time WWE World Champion and multi-time WrestleMania main eventer. During that WWE run, he also met and married Brie Garcia (fka Brie Bella). Since 2021, Bryan has been All Elite as part of All Elite Wrestling.

Bryan and Brie were married in 2014 shortly after Bryan won the main event of WrestleMania 30. The couple has a daughter and son together. While speaking with ESPN’s Marc Raimondi, Brie revealed that Bryan had to be talked out of competing in the UFC octagon.

“He really wanted to years ago and I said no. My husband is incredible at grappling training. I mean, he’s worked with some of the UFC guys, but when you have a husband who’s had a lot of concussions, that’s the last place you want to see him. Doctors, too. The whole medical team.”

“All of us were like, ‘Bryan, it sounds great, but…’ For me, as a wife, I look at longevity. Bryan and I are coming up to our 10-year wedding anniversary, and I know we’re going to have 20-30 more years. So, for me, it’s his health in the long run, not the short term.”

It is well known that Bryan Danielson has a long history of concussions and neck issues, so not stepping into the UFC octagon seems like a wise decision.
