WWE Legend Bret Hart has spoken out about a famous move he refused to take.

Bret Hart has been one of the best in pro-wrestling to ever do it.

The three-time WWE Hall of Famer has done it all. From carrying the company on his shoulders in the early to mid-1990s, to having great feuds with the likes of Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Hitman has cemented a legacy so great that he even had a say in many things during his time as the top star in the company.

Bret Hart is also known to be very honest and straightforward in real life and doesn’t shy away from shooting on other wrestlers he has worked with in the past. He is even known to give praise and respect to wrestlers wherever it’s due.

Dominic DeAngelo of Studio 1 Sports did an extensive interview with The Hitman in which Bret Hart talks about one of his famous opponents, WWE legend Razor Ramon (Scott Hall), and his finishing move.

Bret Hart Refused To Take The Razor’s Edge As He Found It Dangerous

Razor Ramon would pick his opponents up behind him with their arms spread out wide and drop them head-first onto the mat, hurting the wrestler’s upper back and neck/head.

Hart says in the interview with DeAngelo that he thought it was stupidly dangerous to take a move from almost 7-feet in the air and land on his head and risk injuring himself badly, which is why he outright refused to do it.

His finish where he would do that — what we call the Razor’s Edge, and he would pick you up and drop you on your head. I remember I go, ‘Nobody is doing that to me, ever. I don’t care,’ and I would stand by that today. He goes, ‘Oh, don’t worry. I’ll set you down.’ I’m like, ‘Not on my f*cking head you’re not. No way. There’s no f*cking way.

You’re 6’6 or something. You’re gonna fall backwards with me. The first thing that hits the ground is my head, and my upper back.’ I said, ‘This doesn’t make any sense. It’s too dangerous, too stupid of a move for me to do,’ and I refused to do it, and period.

Both Hart and Hall also saw major success in WWE’s then-rival promotion WCW. Scott Hall tragically passed away in 2022 and received a tremendous amount of tributes from the WWE Universe.

In more recent years, The Razor’s Edge move has been used by stars like Damian Priest.
