Breaking: WWE Confirms Injury Of 4-Time Champion On SmackDown
A multi-time WWE champion has suffered an unfortunate injury.
Last Friday on SmackDown, Matt Cardona had a heated confrontation with Randy Orton backstage over The Viper’s brutal attack on Cody Rhodes the week before. The confrontation ended in Orton dropping down the former Intercontinental Champion.
Later on the show, The Viper invited Cardona to the ring to apologize to him before viciously assaulting him again, leaving him apparently injured.
Matt Cardona’s Injury Confirmed On WWE SmackDown
On tonight’s episode of SmackDown, an update was given on Matt Cardona’s injury. It was announced that the 40-year-old has suffered a broken wrist.
That, however, did not stop the former Intercontinental Champion from heading to the ring to attack Randy Orton following another explosive promo from The Viper in the opening segment.
Orton later demanded that Nick Aldis book a match between him and Cardona. While Aldis initially refused due to Cardona’s injury, he changed his mind after The Viper threatened that something worse than a broken wrist would happen to the former Intercontinental Champion if he did not see him in the ring.
