BREAKING: Ricochet Shockingly Dethroned At AEW Revolution 2026
AEW Revolution began with an interesting match card for the Zero Hour, which saw two titles being defended on the pre-show, ahead of the big night of action.
The first match on the Zero Hour card saw the return of Big Boom AJ to the promotion as he made a victorious return, defeating The Infantry in a tag team match alongside QT Marshall.
The two title matches on offer saw Willow Nightingale defend her TBS Championship against Lena Kross, while the AEW National Championship was defended in a 21-man Blackjack Battle Royale.
Jungle Jack Perry becomes new AEW Champion tonight
The insane Battle Royale match saw Ricochet defend his National Championship against 20 other superstars, who looked to dethrone the leader of The Demand.
The match which started at the Zero Hour then continued onto the main show and became the unofficial first match of the night. Tommaso Ciampa picked up the pace in the match and eliminated multiple stars to emerge as a favorite.
However, he was eliminated from the match by Juice Robinson as he became part of the final three contestants. Juice was then thrown out of the ring, leaving Jack Perry and Ricochet to continue their feud.
Perry was almost eliminated from the ring but remained in the match by hanging onto Ricochet. He slid back in the ring from mid air and hit a Superkick on Ricochet. He recovered to get Jungle Jack on his shoulders, but Perry reversed it into a reverse hurricurrana onto the ring apron to eliminate Ricochet to become the new AEW National Champion.
