Breaking: Former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio Arrested

Former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio (aka Alberto El Patron) was arrested in Mexico on April 6 on serious charges.

According to Milenio.com, the 48-year-old wrestler was taken into custody on Monday, April 6, in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend verbally and physically.

The report added that the woman suffered injuries to her face and arms and called 911 for police assistance. As the Civil Guard officers arrived at the scene, she was being attacked, which led them to arrest Del Rio.

The former WWE Champion is now reportedly at the disposal of the State’s Attorney General’s Office to face the corresponding charges.

“The woman, who suffered injuries to her face and arms, called 911 for police assistance. State Civil Guard officers arrived at the scene just as she was being attacked and found her with signs of violence, so they arrested the assailant.

The detainee was placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of San Luis Potosí (FGE) to face the corresponding charges,” the report read.

Alberto Del Rio Was Previously Arrested For Assaulting His Girlfriend In 2020

Six years ago, Alberto Del Rio was arrested in San Antonio, Texas, for allegedly sexually assaulting and battering his girlfriend at the time. A few months later, he was charged with aggravated kidnapping and sexual assault after he was indicted by a grand jury.

However, all charges against him were dropped in December 2021.
