Bray Wyatt Wanted Forgotten NXT Star In The Wyatt Family

The Wyatt Family

According to Enzo Amore, Bray Wyatt had an NXT superstar in mind to join The Wyatt Family, however the move was blocked by management.

The Wyatt Family officially formed on WWE television in late 2013, however it was not the full lineup Bray Wyatt had requested.

In a discussion on the Monte & The Pharaoh LI#1 Pro Wrestling Broadcast, Enzo Amore revealed that Wyatt had asked for Knuckles Madsen to be part of the group, however NXT’s decision makers at the time refused for it to happen as they were concerned that Madsen could overshadow Wyatt as the leader of the group.

Knuckles Madsen was part of WWE developmental between 2012 and 2013. He only had one televised match, and was eventually released by the company on 17th December 2013. He has gone on to compete on the independent scene under the ringname Ivan Warsaw, and is a man who Enzo Amore has personal experience with after a clash in 2021 left Amore out cold following a DDT and being rushed to the emergency room.

During the show, Enzo Amore also discussed what he expects in the future for Bray Wyatt and also Chad Gable, who he knew would be a star from the time he joined WWE.

People don’t know who the best wrestlers in the world are from 2012 to 2018 unless they were in the WWE, probably in the Performance Center. You have a good feel for who can go and who can’t. I knew how good Chad Gable was. Nobody needed to tell me that. That motherf****r was an Olympian.

Bray Wyatt is yet to have his first televised match since returning to WWE, despite having a number of contests on house shows. He is scheduled to face LA Knight on 28th January at the Royal Rumble in a Pitch Black Match.
