Booker T On CM Punk Returning To WWE

CM Punk makes entrance

Booker T has given his thoughts on whether there is any chance of CM Punk returning to WWE.

With most recent news reports indicating that CM Punk is seeking a contract buy-out, many people in and out of the wrestling business are speculating on Punk’s future. Some still see him as a hot commodity in spite of the All Out fallout, while others, including Booker T, aren’t as keen on seeing Punk in WWE.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T noted that while there’s a “possibility” of Punk coming back to WWE, that possibility is very, very small:

“There’s always a chance. But I don’t think it’s a big chance … that we see CM Punk back in WWE. I don’t think CM Punk wants to go back to WWE. I mean, CM Punk has made it perfectly clear ever since he’s shown up in AEW, what he feels and what he thinks about WWE and everything in it.”

Booker T elaborated by saying that Punk never really fit on WWE’s roster in the first place and that the recent firestorm following All Out seems to be centered more on Punk than the other people involved.

It is unclear whether Booker T’s opinion carries any significant weight in WWE. However, an unnamed high-ranking person within Triple H’s inner circle has taken a more rigid position than Booker’s by saying no to Punk returning.
