Massive Bombshell On Roman Reigns’ WWE Contract
A massive new detail regarding Roman Reigns’ current WWE contract has come to light.
Reigns is a top-tier attraction in WWE and is set to be featured at the company’s biggest event of the year, WrestleMania, where he will face CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Days ahead of his singles match at Mania, Reigns appeared in a YouTube video with Nico Leonard, where the watch expert and enthusiast reviewed his luxury watch collection.
During the conversation, the topic of Roman Reigns’ retirement came up, and The OTC told Leonard that he is not ready to retire yet. He made it clear that he is not looking to leave WWE anytime soon and feels he still has more “juice to squeeze” creatively.
Reigns emphasized that, from both a financial and legacy standpoint, it makes more sense for him to continue while his “equity” is at its peak.
“There is still a little more juice to squeeze. Almost there, but not quite. I still feel like I have a lot to offer. I’m 40 years young. With everything that we have within sports science, nutrition, all the information we have, careers have been extended.
We also get to a point where you grind it out early in your career, and then once you get towards the back end, that equity kicks in, and then you get into a different ballpark as far as finances. I’m not going to leave the park now.
If the ATM machine is broken, you’re not going to run away from it. You’re going to keep collecting that money. I still feel like, creatively, there is so much left for me to do, and there is still a great deal of earning for me to take advantage of.”
Within hours of his comments, the internet began buzzing, especially with ongoing rumors about his contract status.
Roman Reigns’ Current WWE Contract Will Reportedly End In May 2026
Renowned journalist Ibou of Self Made recently claimed on Twitter that Roman Reigns’ current WWE contract is set to expire in May this year. Ibou further added that, in his view, WWE President Nick Khan is likely to offer Reigns a new deal that maintains his current limited appearance schedule while potentially increasing his pay:
It’s up in May and I love how none of the parties are even remotely tripping about it. Landing on a new deal is considered beyond a formality. Wonder if he signs for even less dates or the same. Gut feeling is Nick will give him a raise as long as he maintains the current rate of appearances he’s on now.
