Big E has commented on his future in WWE while noting that if he isn’t cleared to return, he will be at peace with whatever happens.

Former WWE Champion Big E has opened up about what might be in his wrestling future as we sit here one year after he suffered a devastating injury. For the past eight years, Big E has been part of the legendary New Day stable with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.

It was on the March 11th, 2022 edition of WWE Smackdown when the powerhouse and his New Day tag team partner Kofi Kingston faced Sheamus and Ridge Holland in tag team action. During the match, Holland gave Big E an overhead belly-to-belly suplex on the floor. Big E landed on the top of his head and suffered a broken neck. Big E hasn’t been cleared to wrestle since that moment one year ago today.

In December 2022, Big E talked about what he was dealing with.

“I have to get some more scans at the one-year mark in March and we’ll see how everything is looking. We’ll see from there. My C1 is broken in two spots, so we obviously have to be very smart about that. I was very fortunate. I want to make sure I’m making the best decision for myself. We’ll see in March.”

Now that March is here, TMZ Sports talked to Big E, who said he wants to make the best decision.

“I just want to make the best decision. I just got to see what the scans say and then talk to doctors and go from there. Right now, before I know anything, I’m not going to make any rush to judgments or anything. See how everything looks.”

Big E also spoke about how there is no anxiety on his end while adding that he feels he got lucky because it could have been worse.

“Nah, no anxiety at all. Everything isn’t permanent. If it comes to an end, cool. If it doesn’t, cool. What will be, will be. I’m good with whatever.”

During the chat, Big E was also asked if he had any advice for somebody that goes through something similar in their life.

“Yeah, man, for me, life will always give you twists and turns that you don’t anticipate. I think you do the best you can with what you got. Life is a gift. If you’re here, if you’re walking, if you have your health, if you got your family and friends, you’re blessed. Focus on what you do have and not on what you don’t have.”

Everybody at TJRWrestling wishes Big E good health moving forward with his recovery from the devastating broken neck injury.
