Becky Lynch Speaks Out On Special WWE Anniversary

The Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch shared a message on a special WWE anniversary.

Last year, WWE introduced the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, and Lyra Valkyria became the inaugural champion after beating Dakota Kai on the January 13 episode of WWE Raw.

On the first anniversary of the Women’s Intercontinental Title, Becky Lynch shared a message highlighting how she has elevated the title in the past year. Calling her the greatest IC Champ ever, she tweeted:

One year ago, the women’s Intercontinental championship was won by LOSER LYRA! Big whoop!! Now, because I’M holding the gold, people say this title means more than ANY OTHER CHAMPIONSHIP in the world of pro wrestling! Instead of THANKING ME, the media continues to spread LIES! Instead of PRAISING me, PETTY Pearce tries to stack the deck against me! However, when you’re THE MAN like me, you take on all challenges and prove to these SCUMBAG haters that you’re the best for a reason! Becky is a two-time Women’s Intercontinental Champion. She won the title first after defeating Valkyria at Money In The Bank at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.

Her second reign started when she beat Maxine Dupri for the title on the January 5 edition of Monday Night RAW at Barclays Center in New York City.

She will put her title on the line against Maxxine Dupri on next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
