Bayley Hints At Elimination Chamber Return

Bayley has teased that she could return to action as the mystery entrant in the Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia.

Bayley suffered a torn ACL in July 2021 during a training session at the WWE Performance Center ahead of the company’s return to live touring.

At the time, Fightful reported that the multi-time WWE Women’s Champion was chain wrestling when her knee ‘popped’. WWE later confirmed the injury and said it would put the star on the shelf for up to nine months.

In a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Bayley was among the names expected to return to action in time for WrestleMania 38. However, it looks like the ‘Role Model’ is hoping to be back in the ring in the next few weeks.

On February 7th, WWE announced on Twitter that a Raw Women’s Championship opportunity would be on the line inside the Elimination Chamber on February 19th in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The image revealed showed five of the women who would be in the match as well as a silhouette indicating a surprise entrant. Bayley responded to the tweet with an emoji of a leg, potentially to say that she has healed from her leg injury and is ready to take back the title.

Back in December, Bayley gave a positive update on her knee on Instagram Live.

“Anyway, people are asking how my knee is. So, my knee is doing great, my leg’s doing great, my ankle’s doing great, my shin is doing great, my hip is doing great, my mind is doing great… so, I mean it’s only a matter of time.”

Before being injured, Bayley was scheduled to clash with Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank.

Belair went on to lose the title to a returning Becky Lynch at SummerSlam, so it remains to be seen if Bayley will will be able to pick up where she left off or if she will instead turn to the Raw Women’s Title as she was not officially selected in the WWE Draft and is presumably a free agent.
