Bayley Congratulates NXT Star On Return From Injury

Bayley isn’t known for her kindness on screen, but the WWE veteran issued congratulations to an NXT star that returned to action recently.

It was at SummerSlam on July 30th when Bayley made her surprise return to WWE television. Bayley was out of action for a full year due to a torn ACL in her knee that required surgery and a long rehab process. When she came back, it was just about one week after Triple H took over as WWE’s Chief Content Officer.

Following Bayley’s return, she formed a new group called Damage CTRL along with a returning Dakota Kai & IYO SKY. The team of Kai & SKY are former Women’s Tag Team Champions while Bayley continues her pursuit of the Raw Women’s Title held by Bianca Belair.

Another WWE superstar that suffered a devastating knee injury last year was NXT’s Odyssey Jones. The talented big man suffered a serious injury to his patella in his knee and he missed a year of action just like Bayley did. It’s certainly possible that Jones and Bayley rehabbed their injuries at the same time.

Jones returned to action on the November 1st episode of NXT with an easy win over Javier Bernal. Bayley congratulated Jones with this tweet:

“Happy for you dude! Been amazing to watch your rehab journey to now. Congrats.”

Bayley is currently in Saudi Arabia preparing for her Last Woman Standing Match against Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair this Saturday, November 5th at Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The last time Bayley got a televised title shot was at Extreme Rules on October 8th when Belair beat Bayley in a Ladder Match to keep the Raw Women’s Title.
