Bayley Admits Frustration With WWE Booking: “I’m Just Here Stealing Money”

Bayley

2025 was a forgettable year for Bayley.

One of the major hits for her came when her WrestleMania spot was given to the returning Becky Lynch in the form of a backstage attack.

The Role Model returned a couple of months later and immediately attacked ‘The Man,’ who was earlier revealed as her attacker.

She was then inserted into a Women’s Intercontinental Championship angle with Lynch and Lyra Valkyria, but WWE learned Valkyria was more popular, which led to Bayley relinquishing her spotlight again.

The 36-year-old then went through a transition, which showed her suffering from split personality. After being featured in storylines with no direction, it is fair to assume that she has been frustrated.

Some fans have even called for her to make the jump to another promotion that respects her veteran vision and helps set up her legacy.

Bayley Admits To Frustration With WWE

Bayley was recently part of the No-Contest Wrestling podcast WWE 2K26 Creator Fest, where she also discussed her experience of hosting the Lodestone Wrestling seminar.

While speaking, she admitted to feeling that she was ‘stealing money’ due to not being utilized properly.

I’ve been in WWE for 13 years now and I’ve done so much, but I feel like I still have so much more to do, more things I want to accomplish. And I still have so much passion for this. But I don’t always have control over that, you know? I don’t write the shows. I don’t put myself in these matches.

Sometimes it’s hard to feel, like, purposeful. It’s hard to feel like I’m being useful, you know? I kind of feel like I’m just here stealing money. Like, I want it, so I needed to feel like I was doing something.

She then explained how the Lodestone Seminar helped her realize that she had more to offer to the wrestling world.

And Lodestone kind of helped me in that, where I’m still so passionate and want to help. And this kind of fed my — I talked to Chad Gable about this — but fed my child-like wonder. Where it’s like, that’s kid Bayley in me that’s just like, ‘I want to wrestle and I want to be around people who love it and that feel the same way.’

Because when you’re at a certain level, it’s business, you know? But when you come to a place like Lodestone, it felt very much like just hanging out with your friends and doing something that you love and everybody getting better. [H/T: Wrestling Observer]
