The latest report provided an unfortunate update regarding Roman Reigns’ status for an upcoming major WWE PLE.

Roman Reigns is one of the biggest and most marketable stars in the WWE right now. The OTC started this year hot by winning the men’s Royal Rumble match and then going on to defeat CM Punk in the main event of WrestleMania 42 to capture the World Heavyweight Championship. Reigns has also found his first challenger, as he is slated to defend his World title against Jacob Fatu at the Backlash 2026 PLE this weekend.

However, Roman Reigns has been pulled from the TV show dates for June this year, and fans are worried whether The OTC is back to being a part-timer again, like the past few years, despite carrying the World Heavyweight title. Meanwhile, there is an update regarding the situation about why Roman is not advertised for the TV shows in June.

Roman Reigns has been pulled from next month’s TV dates for a particular reason

Over the past several weeks, Roman Reigns has been appearing on RAW almost regularly, but is not expected to be on any shows in June. According to the latest report by Wrestling Observer, the reason Reigns has been pulled from the TV dates in June is that he would reportedly not be heading to Saudi Arabia for the Night of Champions PLE, so there was no point in him being on the TV shows for the PLE build-up:

Regarding Roman Reigns being pulled from June TV dates that were announced, the reason we were told is that he’s not going to be on the Saudi Arabia PPV and thus there was no reason to do the TV’s building that show”

The report further stated that there will be more to the story if Roman loses the World title to Jacob Fatu this weekend, but it will be the same if Reigns retains, as he is no longer scheduled for the TV shows in June:

If he loses the title next week, of course that would be a change and there will be more to the story. If he retains, that’s probably all it is. But Reigns is no longer scheduled for any television in June.” [h/t f4wonline.com]

As of now, Roman Reigns must be laser-focused for his World title defense against Jacob Fatu at Backlash this Saturday.
