Austin Theory Cashes In MITB Briefcase On U.S. Title, Loses To Seth Rollins

Austin Theory

The youngest “Money in the Bank” winner Austin Theory finally got his opportunity to cash in his briefcase and it did not go as well as he had planned.

After previously attempting to cash in his “Money in the Bank” briefcase for an opportunity at the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship twice and being foiled each time – Austin Theory took the chance to cash in on Seth “Freakin” Rollins, after Rollins announced an open challenge for his WWE United States Championship title, which resulted in a battle with Bobby Lashley.

Lashley had previously lost the title to Rollins after he was attacked by Brock Lesnar before their scheduled match, making Lashley easy pickings for Rollins.

Perhaps this inspired Theory to do something similar, but the match was not to go Austin Theory’s way, and the youngest “Money in the Bank” winner, found himself on the losing end of his cash-in after he failed to pin Rollins for the three count and then couldn’t fight back against “The All Mighty” Bobby Lashley, who attacked Theory at ringside.

Rollins took full advantage of the beating dished out by Lashley and managed to retain his title against Theory, who now has no title and no briefcase.
