Another Name Added To NXT Championship Ladder Match After Wild Qualifier

Two wrestlers had already qualified for the NXT Championship Ladder Match set for the February 3 episode of the show before the second qualifying match of the night took place.

Ricky Saints became the first person to qualify, after he was added to the match last week without even wrestling a qualification match. Shiloh Hill joined him tonight after beating Josh Briggs in the second match of the night.

Two of NXT’s newest superstars, Sean Legacy and Eli Knight, faced off against each other in the second qualification match of the night. This was a huge opportunity for them to establish themselves on the black and silver brand for them.

Sean Legacy qualifies for the NXT Championship match

The two former Evolve wrestlers put on an entertaining match for the NXT Universe, with their high-flying style bringing the crowd to their feet as they looked to book a spot in the ladder match.

Both wrestlers came close to winning the match with high-flying splashes of their own, but could only earn a two-count on both of their efforts. Eli Knight looked to be get lucky a second time but was met with a boot to the face from Sean Legacy.

He followed that up with a Shambles to Knight and got the pin to advance to the NXT Championship Ladder Match. However, just like the previous match, the participants were attacked by Tony D’Angelo after the match.
