Chaotic AEW World Title Picture Gets More Confusing Ahead Of Revolution

The only thing sure about the AEW World Championship match at Revolution is that nothing’s for sure.

MJF recaptured the AEW Men’s World Championship at Worlds End from Samoa Joe in a four-way match that also featured Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland.

Joe, Page, and Strickland have made no secret that they want another crack at that gold, as does another man to have once held that title, Kenny Omega.

While they jockey for position, MJF seems intent on doing his own thing and ignoring those challengers as best he can. However, he can’t ignore the massive Brody King, who has also made clear his ambition to go for the top title in AEW.

That means heading into the Revolution pay-per-view on March 15th, the AEW World Championship scene is just a little bit oversubscribed.

But Tony Khan has now found an answer to the problem.

MJF Facing AEW Challengers From All Directions

On the January 28th edition of AEW Dynamite, Kenny Omega picked up a victory over Rocky Romero. After that win, it was announced that Omega would face the winner of the match between Andrade El Idolo and Swerve Strickland, taking place later in the night. El Idolo won that bout, meaning that Omega will now clash with him on Dynamite in Las Vegas.

There is another strand to what is being dubbed a contender series, but might well be a tournament in disguise, and that has yet to be revealed. Adam Page is almost certain to be involved, but an injury suffered by Samoa Joe might rule him out of contention this time around.

There is also no guarantee that MJF will bethe AEW Men’s World Champion by the time Revolution takes place. On Dynamite in Las Vegas, MJF will take on Brody King in an eliminator match, and if King is victorious, he’ll jump the line and challenge for that title at Grand Slam Australia on February 14th.
