Backstage News On Recent AEW Talent Meeting

There was a recent AEW talent meeting, but it happened on one show without the other show knowing about it, according to a new report.

Ever since AEW Collision launched last month, some wrestlers have only appeared on the Saturday night show while others remain regulars on AEW Dynamite.

The main reason that All Elite Wrestling has “separate” rosters without officially having a brand split is that there is still a lot of tension between CM Punk and The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) along with “Hangman” Adam Page based on the backstage fight that happened in September 2022 at All Out.

Since Collision launched, none of the members of The Elite have appeared on an episode of the new show while CM Punk and his buddies FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) have been on every episode. When Punk appeared on Dynamite in Chicago, The Elite wasn’t there, but they did a pre-taped promo from one week earlier that aired during Dynamite.

CM Punk and The Elite were in the same building at the AEW-NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view last month, but they were reportedly kept separate.

In another example of the current All Elite Wrestling roster being divided, Fightful Select reports that there was a talent meeting at last week’s July 8th edition of AEW Collision. While Fightful notes that they are trying to learn more about it, they also noted that “many talent on Dynamite had no idea about it.”

Tonight’s episode of AEW Collision will feature three big matches with CM PUnk facing Ricky Starks in the Men’s Owen Hart Tournament Finals and Ruby Soho against Willow Nightingale in the Women’s Owen Hart Tournament Finals. FTR will also defend the AEW Tag Team Titles against Jay White & Juice Robinson in a 2/3 Falls Match.

There will also be AEW Battle of the Belts immediately after Collision. All of the content over three hours airs on TNT tonight.
