AEW Star Wanted To Be “A Paul Heyman Girl”

Paul Heyman

Paul Heyman might be the most successful wrestling manager of all time and a current AEW star wanted to seek wisdom from the Wise Man while in WWE.

Heyman can boast a gallery of stars that have come under his wing during decades in the wrestling business – not even counting the years he spent running ECW.

Steve Austin, Rick Rude, Bobby Eaton, Larry Zbyszko, Arn Anderson, Brock Lesnar, Claudio Castagnoli, and CM Punk have all been ‘Paul Heyman guys’ over the years but in his current role as Special Counsel to his Tribal Chief, Heyman is very much a ‘Roman Reigns guy.’

In the years, Heyman has spent at ringside, only one woman has ever found herself on the same side as him, WWE Hall of Famer, Madusa. However, current AEW star Saraya says she tried to change that.

Speaking on Superstar Crossover, Saraya noted that she had told Paul Heyman during her career in WWE that she would love to be associated with him on-screen:

“I wanted to be a ‘Paul Heyman girl’ so bad. Everyone wanted to be a ‘Paul Heyman girl,’ and I even said to him that I wanted to be a ‘Paul Heyman girl.’ I was in his book — he put me in his book, and I was like, ‘Oh my god, I love you.'”

Saraya could no doubt use Heyman’s guidance now in AEW as she, Toni Storm, and Ruby Soho take the fight to the company’s homegrown female stars as The Outcasts.
