This AEW star was worried about her future when out of action.

When wrestlers have to take a break from TV due to injury or other reasons, it is one of the worst things that can happen to them, as it halts their momentum and cuts off planned storylines.

One such wrestler is AEW star Thunder Rosa.

The former Women’s World Champion was a top star in the main event and title scene but had to go on hiatus twice due to injury.

Thankfully for her, she could return to TV and is scheduled to face Julia Hart on this week’s episode of Collision.

AEW Star Thunder Rosa Says She Feared Her Career Was Over

During an appearance on Busted Open, the star said she was excited for her return.

She attributed her absence to intense physical therapy following her injury, and although she was initially nervous, she claims it’s a good thing.

I’m excited. There’s like five different feelings I’m feeling right now. I feel a knot in my stomach. I got nerves, it’s always good to have nerves right before a big return. This would be the second time that I’ve been gone for a long period of time. I’ve been out for eight months, I can tell you, therapy, physical therapy was key for me to come back the way I came back. It was rough, and just the fact that I had to take smaller steps, even do like simple things, it took me a while, and it was very scary.

The 39-year-old AEW Star went on to say that for her, it’s about proving to herself that “she’s still got it,” but at the same time, she is thankful for the opportunity life has given her to come back.

So now the pressure is on even more for myself, because I have nothing to prove to anyone. I want to make this very clear: everything that I’m doing, I’m doing to prove to myself that I still got it, that I deserve this spot. I get an opportunity again, life gives me the opportunity again to do something that I’ve worked so hard for for the last 12 years. I am beyond excited.
