AEW Star Gives Honest Opinion On The Young Bucks

The Young Bucks’ new attitude has been praised by a top AEW star.

Having spent many years as fan favourites, Matt and Nick Jackson have started 2024 with new heel personas, demanding that they be called Matthew and Nicholas and playing up their real-life roles as AEW Executive Vice Presidents.

The duo have also emphasised their change to a more villainous demeanour by renaming their signature finishing manoeuvre.

Speaking on his podcast, ‘The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy‘, the former ECW Champion had high praise for the work that the former AEW World Tag Team Champions had put into their new characters:

“Yeah, I think so. I know, right from the jump, they were working really hard to kind of carve out this role and figure out exactly how do we tweak our characters so we still retain the premise of what our characters are, but now we’re these snobby EVPs and can kind of flex our power.

So they were really working hard to kind of carve it out, and I think they’ve got it down. I’m really proud of what they’ve done, and I think they’ve got something really unique and really special they can run with for a while.”

The Young Bucks To Challenge For Titles In Sting’s Final Bout

The Young Bucks are set for a historic bout on the 3rd March 2024 as they challenge Sting and Darby Allin for the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

Their pursuit of a third title reign comes in what will be the final match of a legendary career for WWE Hall Of Famer Sting during what promises to be an emotional night at the Greensboro Coliseum.

The pair could be aided in their efforts by long-term Sting rival Ric Flair, with a union between The Young Bucks and ‘the dirtiest player in the game’ teased on the 21st February edition of Dynamite.
