AEW Star Reveals What They Learned From Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt celebrates over Seth Rollins

AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland has lifted the lid on the influence the late Bray Wyatt had upon his career.

Tragedy struck the wrestling world on 24th August 2023 when it was announced that Bray Wyatt had sadly passed away. He was just 36 years old.

Despite the untimely ending to his life, Wyatt had an incredible impact upon the industry that was recognised by the likes of Hulk Hogan, John Cena and Becky Lynch in the emotional 2024 Peacock documentary ‘Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal’.

The latest to speak about Wyatt’s lasting impact on their career is AEW star Swerve Strickland. During a recent appearance on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez, Strickland lifted the lid on what he learnt from Wyatt during his WWE tenure:

“Making things, pace it out weekly. Before Bray came back on television, you were just getting barcodes everywhere. It wasn’t giving you a whole lot of information, but it was something to keep you tuned in and watching for something every single week. A rabbit in the background, a puppet over here. Like it was small things and it was layered and sprinkled out.”

Strickland would go on to praise Wyatt’s locker room influence and opened up about his admiration for the former WWE Champion’s mind for the business:

“For me, I would hope to have such a deep mind like that. Just his locker room morale was incredible too. Like I said, I wasn’t in there with him long, but it was impactful. Just a little bit of time made such an impression on me to want to continue certain things that he did just in my personal life and my professional life.”

Bray Wyatt Gave Stark WWE Warning To Ronda Rousey

Former WWE Superstar ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey also praised Wyatt in her recently released autobiography ‘Our Fight’.

In the book, Rousey revealed that Wyatt had given her a telling warning about the industry after a chance meeting in the gym.
