AEW Star Legitimately Hospitalised On Dynamite

AEW

AEW Dynamite provided another action-packed night of wrestling for fans in St. Louis, but for the devious Don Callis, the night did not go as he had planned.

Don Callis caused alarm on the previous week’s edition of Dynamite as he feigned injury following a face-to-face meeting with Adam Page in the ring causing Kenny Omega to ask questions of his former tag team partner. However, in St. Louis, the conniving Callis had apparently changed his tune as he offered Page an explanation – he lost his balance and slipped – before offering his hand to the former AEW World Champion.

Before Page could decide whether a leopard really can change its spots, he was jumped from behind by the Blackpool Combat Club. While that unfolded Don Callis stood like the spare hot dog in the tin with his hand still outstretched doing absolutely nothing to help. Eventually, Jon Moxley couldn’t ignore the Winnipeg weasel any longer and rattled Callis in the jaw.

Unfortunately, Callis was standing next to a lighting rig at the time and the collision with that busted him open and he was visibly bleeding on the floor. Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Callis had to be taken to the hospital and put back together but luckily there is said to be no concussion issues.

The incident with Callis comes one week after The Young Bucks were taken to the hospital as part of a storyline – although Matt Jackson is suffering from an injury – and it immediately preceded the BCC looking to take out Kenny Omega with Bryan Danielson returning to AEW to show where his true allegiance lies.
