AEW Star Dismisses Reports Of Being Unhappy

AEW star Dax Harwood has said he’s anything but unhappy after reports picked up on the star’s seeming annoyance at recently being overlooked by the company.

2022 was a banner year for Dax Harwood and his tag team partner Cash Wheeler as they dominated tag team wrestling throughout the year. Already holding the AAA Tag Team Championship, the pair added the ROH and IWGP Tag Team Titles to their accolades and had a momentous feud with The Briscoes in Ring of Honor.

Such was their success FTR collected the Tag Team of The Year and Feud of The Year – shared with The Briscoes – prizes in the recent Wrestling Observer Awards. While AEW on social media congratulated many stars of the company for their success in the awards, FTR’s acknowledgment was notable by its absence. Especially when The Briscoes were mentioned for their part in the feud of the year.

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler both noted the slight on social media as the pair remain off AEW television with their contracts expiring in April 2023. While reports picked up on Harwood’s supposed unhappiness with the situation, the star took to social media to say nothing could be further from the truth:

Guys, real quick, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. The “he’s unhappy” narrative that’s been painted of me because I stand up for myself has always made me laugh, but today even more. I’m very appreciative of what all of you have given me & my family. Stress is down, life is good.”

While Dax Harwood maintains he is not unhappy, several WWE stars are reported to be as a result of Triple H’s slimmed-down plans for WrestleMania 39.
