An AEW star is on the comeback trail.

Fightful Select reported that Luchasaurus — more recently known as Killswitch, was found by his fiancée after he had collapsed on Friday, September 27th. The star was rushed to the hospital where his blood oxygen level had dropped to below 80%.

He was then diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs and was told he was days away from suffering permanent lung damage.

A further report suggested he had suffered a series of complications, and doctors discovered calcification in a heart valve and that his body wasn’t producing enough iron. At the time it was noted that Luchasaurus might never wrestle again.

However, the latest update on the star’s condition is much more positive.

Luchasaurus Thanks AEW And Tony Khan

As reported by Bryan Alvarez, Luchasaurus is doing “much better,” and is now working towards a comeback. He added that Tony Khan telling him to stay at home the week before his collapse may have saved his life.

“He is doing much better. I am told he is working hard towards a comeback and credits Tony Khan and AEW medical staff for not only being patient with this, but but also telling him to stay home the week before he collapsed, which may have saved his life. It was very serious.”

Luchasaurus hasn’t wrestled since taking part in the Casino Gauntlet Match at All In on August 25th.
