4-Time AEW World Champion Will Allegedly Return To WWE
This major AEW star has been rumoured to return to his former company, WWE.
WWE star Dean Ambrose made a name for himself in the Stamford-based promotion with the SHIELD faction alongside Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.
However, his potential as a top star was never fully realized in the company, as his goofy and awkwardly comedic persona did not always set the right tone for main-event status.
Ambrose later moved to AEW, where he would become Jon Moxley, a more serious character with an intimidating presence. He achieved success in the promotion, winning the AEW World Championship four times and maintaining main event status.
Despite Moxley being an AEW staple and having renewed his contract, there has been some speculation about a WWE return for him.
Could Jon Moxley Return To WWE?
The panelists of Konnan’s Keepin’ it 100 Official podcast recently answered a fan question about whether WWE would consider Moxley for a SHIELD reunion. The fan also pointed out that Moxley’s dangerous move on Kyle Fletcher, where he seemingly executed a potentially dangerous suplex, would play a role in WWE considering him.
The panelists responded by saying that the nature of executing dangerous moves depends on both wrestlers and can only happen when the other agrees, so Moxley isn’t alone to blame.
To answer the question of whether the Stamford-based promotion would ever use Moxley again, given the chance, both Konnan and his co-host agreed, saying, “of course they would.”
