Adam Pearce reacts to a WWE legend’s threats ahead of Monday Night Raw.

This past Saturday at Elimination Chamber, Becky Lynch put the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line against AJ Lee. The crowd in Chicago saw The Geek Goddess force Lynch to tap out to win her first singles championship in over 12 years.

Shortly after losing the title, Lynch went online and issued a series of demands to WWE and Adam Pearce. She claimed that she was cheated out of the match.

Lynch specifically called out the referee, Jessika Carr, with whom she already has a beef, accusing her of being corrupt and of playing a role in the title loss. Lynch then demanded that Pearce suspend Carr from her duties, or she would take legal action.

Did Adam Pearce Suspend Referee Jessika Carr?

This week’s episode of WWE Raw will air live from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on March 2, 2026. Ahead of the show, RAW GM Adam Pearce logged on to Twitter to respond to Lynch’s threats.

He issued a public statement confirming that he had reviewed Lynch’s allegations and thoroughly gone over the footage of her Elimination Chamber match against AJ Lee.

“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. It is now just past 8pm Eastern as I sit in Indianapolis in preparation for Monday Night Raw… But I come to you in this hour in review and after review of a petition submitted to my office through representatives of one Rebecca Lynch.”

“I have reviewed your allegations… and have gone over the footage of the match last night at the Elimination Chamber in Chicago between Rebecca Lynch and A.J. Lee for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, specifically centering around the alleged improprieties allegedly committed by referee Jessika Carr.”

“This isn’t just about one match or one outcome. It’s about maintaining the integrity of sportsmanship and ensuring that talent, hard work and fair competition determine the winners and losers. Part of my jobs at WWE is to act as an arbiter. And in some cases you might make the argument that I am judge, jury and executioner.”

After careful consideration, Adam Pearce stated that he has decided not to suspend Jessika Carr from her position.

“When it comes to the job of a WWE referee, I don’t know that there are many jobs in our company that are more important… Her decisions are split second and in the moment and of paramount importance.”

“So I have reviewed this petition in depth. I have reviewed and re reviewed and re, re, re reviewed the footage from last night at the Elimination Chamber. And when it comes to the suspension, the request for the suspension of referee Jessika Carr without question… As much as it may pain me to say Becky, the answer is no.”
