Adam Page has been sent a public message of support from a former WWE Champion following his scary injury on AEW Dynamite.
A special Tuesday night Dynamite saw AEW’s flagship show going head-to-head with NXT once again for one night only and it was a stacked card for the show in Cincinnati.
Toni Storm successfully defended her Interim AEW Women’s World Championship against Hikaru Shida, while Death Triangle did the same with their Trios Championship against Best Friends and All-Atlantic Champion Orange Cassidy. Chris Jericho also put his ROH Title on the line but was able to see off the challenge of former champion Dalton Castle.
In the night’s main event Hangman Adam Page challenged Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship in Moxley’s hometown. A bloody affair got off to a hot start with Page meeting the champion in the crowd for a fight during his entrance. With over ten minutes of the show still to air, Jon Moxley delivered a nasty clothesline that turned Page inside out in the ring.
Adam Page looked to have suffered a nasty landing and the referee quickly got the ringside doctor involved to check on the former champion. Dr. Sampson called the match off with Moxley being declared the winner. AEW has since issued an update on Page’s condition saying that he suffered a concussion.
Former WWE Champion Big E, who suffered a severe neck injury during a match in March 2022, has sent a simple message of support to Page on social media as he recovers from the injury.
Praying for Hangman.
