53 Year Old Star Names Ex-WWE Champion As Dream Final Opponent

One WWE star is looking towards the end of their in-ring career as they name their dream final opponent.

R-Truth looked to be on his way out of WWE in the summer of 2025 when he was told that the company would not be renewing his contract. However, after fan backlash, Nick Khan intervened, and Truth was signed up to a new deal, quickly returning to TV.

Upon his return, he called himself Ron Killings and showed a new, serious side to his personality as he went after John Cena. However, that direction was abandoned quicker than Cena’s heel turn, and he’s since returned to the buffoonish R-Truth character that fans love.

R-Truth Wants WWE Swansong To Be Awesome

Cena had his final match in 2025, but now R-Truth has considered who he’d like to share the ring with in his final bout. Speaking to TV Insider, Truth revealed there was only one man for the job, his old tag team partner:

The Miz. I have a story with The Miz. I have an outside-the-ring story with The Miz. I have a relatable story with The Miz. The history.

I remember when he first came here from The Real World. He is so underrated. The things I could do with him. I will have that with The Miz.

The Miz and R-Truth have had two runs as the Awesome Truth tag team in WWE. In 2011, they became unlikely Survivor Series headliners as they teamed up to face the dream team of John Cena and The Rock. When they reunited over a decade later, they captured the World Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 40.

R-Truth has revealed that he signed a deal with WWE that could still see him competing when he’s 60.
