4-Time WWE Champion To Dethrone Drew McIntyre At WrestleMania?
Drew McIntyre is riding high as the Undisputed WWE Champion. However, will he be able to hold on to it past WrestleMania?
The Scotsman is yet to defend the title on WWE TV. After winning the championship on WWE SmackDown, McIntyre has been putting the title on the line against Cody Rhodes on live shows during WWE Road to Royal Rumble.
He has been winning the matches via DQ. It is important to note that McIntyre was able to dethrone Rhodes due to Jacob Fatu’s interference and not by actually defeating The American Nightmare.
Drew McIntyre can lose the title at WrestleMania 42 against the former champion
So, if someone were to challenge McIntyre for the title, it could be Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Damian Priest, Aleister Black, Jacob Fatu, or the former Undisputed WWE Champion Roman Reigns.
On Notsam Wrestling, Sam Roberts explored a situation where The OTC defeats The Scotsman at WrestleMania, and then The American Nightmare goes after Roman Reigns once again.
Now, that is interesting. Roman Reigns versus Drew McIntyre. If you did, I would not mind at all.
Roman Reigns versus Drew McIntyre for the title, and Cody Rhodes versus Jacob Fatu. And then Cody Rhodes has to try to get that title. And then Roman beats Drew again. And then Cody Rhodes has to get the title from Roman.
I like that.
Triple H had specifically cancelled Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes for WrestleMania to avoid fan fatigue over the same main event for the third time in four years. Reigns vs. McIntyre is a fresh change of pace from what fans have been seeing in the last few years.
