A former WWE star has opened up about their release from the company.

Mara Sadè, who is currently signed to TNA, competed under the name Jakara Jackson during her stint with the Stamford promotion.

After participating in a tryout in 2021, Sadè earned a contract, which led to her making her in-ring debut in August 2022 during an NXT house show.

After being featured in a string of losses in singles and team matches, alongside Lash Legend, the pair aligned with Noam Dar and Oro Mensah.

Calling themselves Meta-Four, the faction developed a heel persona, feuding against the likes of Nathan Frazer and Ethan Page.

Sadè and Legend even unsuccessfully challenged for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, then held by Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.

In April 2025, the member of Meta-Four met backstage during an episode of NXT, where they would disband. Sadè and Mensah were subsequently released on May 2, 2025.

Mara Sadè Recalls Her WWE Release

On her part, Mara Sadè did not sit and wallow about being released from WWE. Instead, she found herself bookings in the independent circuit, which led to her being ultimately signed by TNA.

She also returned to the Stamford promotion as a part of NXT vs. TNA Showdown storyline, where she was a part of a 4-on-4 Survivor Series-style match.

During a recent interivew with Gabby AF, the TNA star made a heartbreaking confession about her release.

It’s like anybody who gets a phone call that they lost their job, I was stuck for a second. I was getting ready for my little niece’s birthday. I’m ready to party, go skating, and whatnot.

I get this phone call and I’m like, ‘No way.’ I got it and I had to listen to myself and be like, alright, let me take a moment to feel these feels because I don’t feel good right now. But for me, I’m the go-getter for a reason. I’m never gonna sit in one spot and stay stagnant or not think about moving forward. I took a day to myself. I let it all sink in and I let it be what it was. [H/T: Wrestling Inc]
