Updated WWE Money in the Bank Lineup, WWE Confirms Both MITB Matches Will Happen Simultaneously

TJR Wrestling

Here’s the updated lineup for the WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view after WWE added two individuals to Money in the Bank ladder matches on Smackdown. Money in the Bank takes place on Sunday, May 10 and you can watch it on WWE Network.

It was also confirmed on Smackdown that the Men’s and Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Matches will take place simultaneously at WWE’s Corporate Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. The match will start at the bottom of WWE’s Corporate Headquarters (sometimes called Titan Towers) and then the wrestlers have to fight their way to the top of the building where there’s a ring along with ladders that can be used to retrieve the appropriate briefcases above the ring. Those matches were apparently taped a few weeks ago.

There are rumors, via Ryan Satin, that WWE may even choose to show the matches throughout the Money in the Bank PPV instead of just one showing that takes 20 minutes. I think it’s better to just air it all at once instead of splitting it up throughout the show.

In women’s action on Smackdown, Carmella defeated Mandy Rose to earn her spot in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match. Rose was distracted by former best friend Sonya Deville during the match.

In the main event of Smackdown, Otis defeated Dolph Ziggler clean to earn his spot in the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match.

The sixth and final spot in the men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match will be filled by whoever wins a Gauntlet Match on Raw. The names of the wrestlers in that match have not been announced. With AJ Styles expected to return on Raw, I think there’s a strong possibility that Styles could take that sixth spot.

WWE Championship: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Seth Rollins

Universal Championship: Braun Strowman (c) vs. Bray Wyatt

Men’s Money in the Bank Contract Ladder Match: Daniel Bryan vs. Aleister Black vs. Rey Mysterio vs. King Corbin vs. Otis and one more wrestler from Raw

Women’s Money in the Bank Contract Ladder Match: Asuka vs. Shayna Baszler vs. Nia Jax vs. Dana Brooke vs. Lacey Evans vs. Carmella

Smackdown Tag team Championships: The New Day (c) vs. The Forgotten Sons vs. Lucha House Party vs. The Miz and John Morrison – It was announced by WWE on Saturday right here.

Smackdown Women’s Championship: Bayley (c) vs. Tamina

It would also make sense to have Sheamus face Jeff Hardy on this show.

There’s currently no Raw Tag Team Title match on the card, but that might change because The Street Profits face The Viking Raiders on Raw in a non-title match and typical WWE booking would suggest that they face off at Money in the Bank too.

A match between Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose would make sense based on their story over the last month.

It doesn’t appear as though Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch will have a match on the card.

There will probably be eight or nine matches on the card, so we should know more after Raw and Smackdown next week.

You can check out WWE Money in the Bank streaming on WWE Network on Sunday, May 10, at 7 ET/4 PT.
