TJR Wrestling

With Wrestlemania weekend being just a little over a month away, the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame class is continuing to grow. Raj Giri of WrestlingInc. is reporting that former WWE Champion John Bradshaw Layfield will be entering the WWE Hall of Fame this year.

Along with holding the WWE Championship for 280 days in 2004-05, JBL is also a former WWE Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion as well as a three-time Tag Team Champion as part of the Acolytes (Protection Agency) tag team with Faarooq (Ron Simmons). After retiring from in-ring competition, JBL worked as a commentator on both Raw and Smackdown for many years. JBL still appears on WWE Kickoff shows from time to time for the major events as well.

WWE has already confirmed that Batista and the NWO made up of Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and Sean “X-Pac” Waltman will be joining JBL in this year’s class. The Bella Twins, Jushin Thunder Liger and the “British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith are all reportedly going to be inducted this year.

As always, nothing is official until WWE announce it and we expect these announcements to come over the next month.

The 2020 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony is scheduled to air live on the WWE Network on Thursday, April 2nd.

Matt’s Musings: Congratulations to JBL for the much-deserved induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.
