Wyatt Sicks Make Presence Known During WWE Title Qualifier On SmackDown
The field is filling up for the Undisputed WWE Championship number one contender’s match on Friday Night SmackDown tonight. General Manager Nick Aldis had announced four qualifying matches for tonight, and three of them are now in the history books.
The first one of the night saw Randy Orton punch his ticket to Saturday Night’s Main Event, while Trick Williams became the second person to qualify for the fatal-four-way match.
Solo Sikoa fought Damian Priest for the third spot as both men looked to get their hands on Drew McIntyre’s title. Priest stated on last week’s episode that he’s looking to get back to the top of the chain.
Damian Priest receives some unexpected help on WWE SmackDown
Solo was flanked by his MFT on the ringside, and they made their presence known at times in the match, helping Solo gain an advantage during the match. However, Priest managed to get back into the match despite having no one in his corner.
While Priest did well to hang on in the match, he gained some unexpected help from the Wyatt Sicks as they took the MFT out from ringside. Solo stole Bray Wyatt’s lantern from the Wyatt Sicks, and Uncle Howdy came to grab the same.
While Solo turned his focus to retain the lantern for himself, it allowed Damian Priest to hit Solo with a South of Heaven Chokeslam as he pinned the former Bloodline member to advance to the number one contender’s match for the WWE Championship.
