Only One Current WWE Star Sat At Vince McMahon’s Table At Birthday Party
Vince McMahon celebrated his 80th birthday on August 24, 2025, with a lavish, star-studded party at Gotham Hall in New York City.
The event drew legendary names from the wrestling world, with The Undertaker, Kane, Michelle McCool, Shane McMahon, John Cena, Gerald Brisco, JBL, Sheamus, Sgt. Slaughter, and R-Truth among the first guests spotted. The entertainment lineup featured a unique performance from Jelly Roll and a Brooklyn choir.
Security was strict, and several guests opted not to be photographed, making the gathering more private than typical WWE events. Later, a deleted post from Jerry Lawler revealed additional VIPs like Drew McIntyre, The Miz, Maryse, and Titus O’Neil. Moreover, the fans recently found out that Triple H also attended the birthday party, but Stephanie McMahon wasn’t there.
John Cena and Teddy Long Were Seated at Vince McMahon’s Table
Teddy Long recounted his experience of Vince McMahon’s 80th birthday party on The Wrestling Time Machine podcast, revealing that the WWE Hall of Famer himself and only John Cena from the current WWE roster were seated at the birthday boy’s table. R-Truth stopped by but did not sit at the table. He also shared how he was greeted warmly by Vince McMahon and recalled their private conversation, expressing gratitude for McMahon’s support.
“The first night was very good, just the opening and stuff. I had a really good conversation with Vince [McMahon]. Some of the things I won’t repeat because that was between me and him but first thing he said to me was, ‘It’s so good to see you’, and I thanked him for everything he had done for me and Saturday Night for the birthday party, I went and sat down at the table and the lady said, ‘You’re Teddy Long? You’re at Vince’s table’. So the only talents that were at that table were me and John Cena, I believe that was it. I saw R-Truth come down and sit, but he wasn’t at the table.”
Despite the festive atmosphere and company of old friends, Vince McMahon’s appearance at the party raised concerns about his health. Fightful Select reported that observers described McMahon as looking frail and much older than many remembered, moving more slowly and lacking the vigorous energy seen in previous years. His face appeared somewhat swollen, but he remained professionally dressed and sociable throughout the event.
