WWE Urged To Fire Triple H: “Somebody Needs To Be Held Accountable”
Triple H is under scrutiny again.
When Triple H took over creative control of WWE, he was praised for his booking decisions. The Bloodline storyline was one of the hottest things on TV at the time, and The Game was widely praised for the way he was running the show.
However, things have only gone downhill since WrestleMania 40. With each passing week, the weekly product seems to be getting worse. The WWE has now become a walking billboard of advertisements. This has resulted in a lot of criticism from the fans who blame the promotion’s greedy practices for the poor product. A former WWE writer even called for Triple H to be replaced as the head booker.
Vince Russo urges WWE to replace Triple H
Speaking on Behind The Turnbuckle Studios’ The Coach & Bro Show, Vince Russo didn’t mince his words when he said that Triple H needs to be replaced.
“Somebody’s got to take the ultimate fall, and I don’t know who that is besides him. And I gotta tell you, quite frankly, listen, and guys, I’m not gonna, I don’t want anybody losing their jobs or anything like this, but can we be honest? Like, Triple H is a millionaire multi-times over. Like, whether he works there or not, he’s comfortable for the rest of his life. His kids are comfortable for the rest of their lives. So let’s, let’s get over that. But the fact of the matter is, if it’s me, yes, that is the guy that needs to be replaced.”
Vince Russo further added that he’s not placing the entire blame on Triple because he also has to serve the TKO board, but that has ultimately resulted in a watered-down product. However, he said The Game has still not changed anything about the creative process despite the negative feedback, and he needs to be held accountable.
“Because to me, it’s a creative problem. And like I said, coach, I’m not, I’m not putting this all on Triple H because as this was developing, we were saying it. The more masters you serve, the more watered-down the product is gonna be. The harder it is, it’s gonna be for you to write all these shows and deliver all this content, and it’s only gonna be a matter of time before this content is very bad. So, there’s a history of leading up to why they’re where they’re at. But who’s the guy sitting in that chair? Has he changed anything? No, it’s the same room. It’s the same people in that room. No change has ever been made. I mean, they, they named these women, I guess, VPs of creative, whatever, but somebody, in my opinion, somebody needs to be held accountable.”
It remains to be seen if WWE will replace Triple H for his poor booking as of late.
