WWE & TNA Crossover Set To Continue Past NXT PLE

Jordynne Grace TNA AJ Styles WWE

After a current TNA Champion made a shock appearance on WWE NXT it looks like ties between the two promotions are set to continue.

NXT General Manager Ava had warned NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez that she’d find out her opponent for Battleground on the 28th of May edition of NXT.

While rumours had swirled about a main roster name potentially returning to the developmental brand to face Perez, Ava shocked everyone when she brought out current TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace.

Jordynne Grace has of course competed for WWE in the past all while still representing TNA as the promotion’s top women’s champion. Grace was part of the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble where she lasted just shy of 20 minutes before being eliminated by Bianca Belair.

WWE & TNA Partnership To Continue

PWInsider has now reported that the rumour doing the rounds at NXT was that Grace appearing on the show won’t be the only collaboration between the two promotions in the coming days.

There was said to be a belief that there will be some NXT representation on upcoming TNA shows but it remains to be seen if that will extend beyond Roxanne Perez or not. The next TNA events are set to be held after Battleground with Against All Odds on June 14th with a TV taping also being held the following day.

Another wrestling promotion has also made clear that it’s looking to strengthen its ties with WWE in the coming months ahead.
