WWE May Have Quietly Teased The Rock’s Return Ahead Of WrestleMania 42
The last time the fans saw The Rock in WWE was at the Elimination Chamber premium live event in 2025. He appeared alongside popular rapper Travis Scott in a segment that saw John Cena shockingly turn heel against Cody Rhodes.
After The American Nightmare refused to sell his soul to The Brahma Bull, the trio (Rock, Travis, and Cena) launched a vicious attack on Rhodes, leading to a championship match between John Cena and Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41.
The WWE Universe highly expected The Rock to show up at The Showcase of Immortals last year. However, it didn’t happen.
Backstage RAW Segment Sparks The Rock Return Rumors in WWE
According to recent reports, The Final Boss is not currently factored into any creative plans or even a cameo segment at WrestleMania 42 this year. But WWE may have teased his return.
During a backstage segment between LA Knight and The Usos on the March 23 edition of Monday Night Raw, a poster of The Rock was spotted on a promotional truck in the background. This may be a subtle hint that The Rock is on the verge of returning to WWE.

While Rock’s WrestleMania 42 status is uncertain, there has been a big rumor about his return at WrestleMania 43. WrestleMania next year is set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and there is a strong belief that Saudi Arabia will pay him a huge paycheck to make an appearance at the premium live event.
The word on the street is that his WrestleMania 43 appearance will feature his retirement match, potentially against his cousin Roman Reigns or Cody Rhodes.
