Unexpected WWE Star Predicted To Win Vacant Women’s World Title
Naomi vacated the Women’s World Championship on Monday Night Raw this week.
After missing the August 11 edition of WWE’s flagship show, The Glow returned to the August 18 episode to drop huge news. She cut an emotional and passionate promo where she revealed that she and her husband are pregnant with their first child. It was a bittersweet moment for The Glow as she unfortunately had to relinquish her championship.
Now that Naomi has dropped the Women’s World Championship, who’s going to one to grab the gold next? Dave LcGreaca and Bully Ray discussed the next potential candidate suitable to hold the championship on the latest edition of their Busted Open podcast. Bully Ray picked out a name, and it was of Roxanne Perez.
You wanna know the first name that popped into my head? Roxanne Perez. Don’t know why, but that’s the name that popped into my head. (7:28 to 7:36)
He didn’t exactly reveal why he chose Perez to be the next Women’s World Champion, but LcGreca backed him up by saying that it would make a bombshell storyline when Liv Morgan returns from her injury hiatus. If Perez wins the Women’s World Championship, WWE could add more tension and drama between her and Morgan.
Perez has weaseled her way into the Judgment Day (with some help from Finn Balor) and is gradually replacing Liv Morgan in the faction. She has clearly been making advances on Morgan’s boyfriend, Dominik Mysterio, and trying to win him over.
Roxane Perez Comments On Romance Rumors With WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio
Hours before SummerSlam, Emily Mae of WrestlingNews.co interviewed Perez and Raquel Rodriguez, where she asked the former to comment on whether something romantic is brewing between her and Dirty Dom. Perez nudged off the idea by claiming that they were just friends.
What are you talking about? We’re just friends. I brought everybody gifts in The Judgment Day. Why is everyone turning it around? [3:30 onwards]
Liv Morgan was injured during a match on the June 16, 2025, edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, which took place while she was facing Kairi Sane. The injury was diagnosed as a separated/dislocated shoulder, requiring surgery and resulting in Morgan being sidelined for several months. Morgan is expected to miss the rest of 2025 and potentially return to WWE action in early 2026, depending on her recovery progress
