Why WWE Star Was Legitimately Upset With Triple H & Becky Lynch

WWE Triple H

Triple H replaced Bayley with Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 41.

Bayley was scheduled to team up with Lyra Valkyria at WrestleMania 41 to face Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. However, on the WrestleMania 41 Countdown show, she was found injured backstage as someone had assaulted her, causing her to sustain a shoulder injury.

This forced WWE to rule her out of her scheduled match at the Grandest Stage of Them All. Lyra had 24 hours to find a new partner. At night two of WrestleMania 41, Becky Lynch made her surprise return to join Valkyria as her tag team partner for the title match.

The backstage attack and replacement angle was planned to bring back Lynch in a major way, who had returned after a long hiatus. Lynch and Valkyria went on to defeat Morgan and Rodriguez to win the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 41, though they lost the titles the very next night on Raw.

How Bayley Felt After Being Removed from WWE WrestleMania 41 Match Card

On the January 20 edition of WWE Unreal Season 2, Bayley addressed her removal from the WrestleMania 41 match card. She stated that she felt “bittersweet” when the news was relayed to her.

She stated that she was “excited” to have Becky Lynch back in action but was also “pissed” at her. She was upset with Triple H and the creative team, too, because she had worked really hard for her WrestleMania match.

“It was, like, bittersweet in a way when I was told that this was gonna happen, because, you know, I was excited to have Becky back, but it started really sinking in, like, how much it sucks, as professional as I can be, ‘Man I worked for that,’ you know? I got kinda pissed at Becky. I don’t want to be put in the match because we begged for it. I had already accepted it at that point.”
