A WWE star has made their feelings clear about being left out of the ladder match at WrestleMania 42.

On the March 30 episode of Raw, Penta defended his Intercontinental Championship in an open challenge, which was earlier accepted by Kofi Kingston.

Following his victory, the masked luchador was asked about what he had planned for WrestleMania. In response, Penta revealed that he would be defending his IC title in a ladder match at the Show of Shows.

It’s been 10 years since the Intercontinental Championship was defended at WWE WrestleMania in a ladder match.

Later, four other names were added to the bout: JD McDonagh, Dragon Lee, Je’Von Evans, and Rusev. The commentators clarified that it was not the final list of participants, and more wrestlers could be featured.

El Grande Americano Calls Out WWE For WrestleMania Snub

On April 5, El Grande Americano took to X with Rayo and Bravo, displaying his frustration at being snubbed for the WrestleMania ladder match.

The WWE trio then debated some of the traits of the current participants, claiming they did not deserve to be spoken in the same breath as Americano.

He also hinted at scheming something with the Los Americanos so that he could be in contention to compete for the Intercontinental Championship at the Showcase of the Immortals, scheduled for April 18 & 19.

I want to tell you that all those luchadores are going to compete at WrestleMania, but the greatest one—the biggest legend—El Grande Americano is not!

Penta is a fan of Chaparro, Dragon Lee is tiny, Je’Von has no culture! This match for the Intercontinental Championship is an absolute disgrace without El Grande Americano and my friends! I think somebody should do something about that. Let’s think of something.
