WWE Star Hits Out At Death Threats They’ve Received

WWE Superstar Ridge Holland is now a firm part of the SmackDown brand as one-third of the Brawling Brutes but he is sadly finding out that fame is not without its pitfalls.

Prior to pursuing a career in WWE, Holland was a rugby league player playing in England’s Super League for Hull Kingston Rovers as well as a host of other clubs. Holland joined WWE in 2018 and was part of the NXT brand until 2021 when he was drafted to SmackDown forming an instant alliance with Sheamus.

In March 2022, Holland and Sheamus added Pete Dunne – renamed as Butch – to their group which became known as The Brawling Brutes. On the same night, Butch joined the group, Holland attempted to overhead belly-to-belly suplex Big E on the outside but the former WWE Champion landed hard on his head, leading to a broken neck.

The Brawling Brutes gained new popularity with fans following Sheamus’ outstanding performance at Clash at the Castle but the murky world of social media means that there is always negativity lurking.

Now Ridge Holland has hit out at those sending him death threats among other disgusting things that he has been dealing with:

“Death threats. Threats to my family. Lobbying for me to lose my job. Being labeled as racist. Great stuff keep ‘em coming.”
