WWE Superstar Chelsea Green said she is recovering well after undergoing a successful heart procedure to treat SVT.

Chelsea Green’s 2026 has been challenging. On the February 6 episode of SmackDown, Green suffered an ankle injury during a Women’s Chamber qualifying match against Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend. Even after the injury, she continued to appear in a wheelchair.

While her ankle recovery had reportedly improved, Green later revealed a more serious health issue. During WrestleMania 42 week, Green’s resting heart rate surged to 228 beats per minute for nearly 15 minutes. She then underwent a heart procedure on May 4 to treat SVT (supraventricular tachycardia). She said she stayed awake for the last hour of the procedure.

Green said she had unknowingly dealt with the condition for nearly 10 years before doctors finally diagnosed it.

Chelsea Green shares an update on her recovery

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, the former WWE Women’s United States Champion said she needs a day of bed rest and plans to take it easy for a week.

I’m going back to bed rest. I’ve got one more day of bed rest, and then it’s taking it easy for another week.

She added that although her wounds are healing, her breathing still feels off, and recovery has not been completely smooth.

I’m feeling good. My wounds are healing. My heart feels heavy, and my breathing is interesting, but we’re on the mend. [H/T RSN]

Despite everything she’s dealing with, when asked whether she planned to return to shows once her recovery was complete, Green said she was already discussing creative ideas and even joked about pitching for this week’s SmackDown.

“Oh, you know I will. You know, I’m already—I already pitched for this week.

It remains to be seen when the former Women’s United States Champion will be back in action on the Friday Night Show.
